Rockin' Rich Lynch: Catching Up with John Eddie
The last time we spoke to famed New Jersey rocker John Eddie in 2015 at the Rockland Bergen Music Festival we told him we were moving to Nashville. We sought out his advice since the prolific musician and songwriter had recently made the move to Music City himself.
We ran into him again this week near the Country Music Hall of Fame before the Little Steven concert. We found the one-time "Jungle Boy" hanging out with Disciples of Soul sax player Eddie Manion. When reminded about our previous conversation in New York, Eddie remembered saying, "See, I told you that you would love it."
In many ways John is correct. For us, we couldn't have drawn up a better script as we have been solidly embraced here in middle America and mid-Tennessee. For example, take a look at everything we've reported on since being here. And, it looks like things are working out for John, too. He was hanging at the concert center section with his band and friends and was seen chatting with Charles "Chip" Esten better known as Deacon on Nashville. We just hope John told his friends from Asbury Park to get down here more often - maybe a Jersey Meets Nashville concert is in order.
