The genesis for this aggressive new rock song dates back to March of 2020 when Lynch begin giving some serious thought to what in the world was actually going in the world. "I watch a lot of documentaries and listen to a lot of alternative voices. It's been a lifelong hobby of mine," Lynch remarked while describing the origins of the uniquely titled track. "I started thinking, what if they are right. What if there really is a hidden hand at play on the global stage that wants to bring about the so-called New World Order. What would my reaction be?" >>> "So, I started with the familiar three-letter abbreviation NWO and realized that I needed to make a statement of protest or resistance and ultimately landed on the word combination of Not Without Objection. Having heard that phrase before I knew it was something you would hear in a courtroom so that pretty much laid out the direction that the writing would take." Lynch placed himself on lyrical trial in order to state his case in a Collective Soul style chorus that oppression within a global, social and political context is never a good idea. Anticipating potential backlash to the track Lynch provides a defense of his faith-driven stance in verses two and three that make for one of the most compact and dramatic statements in a rock song that you will ever hear.
