Rockin' Rich Lynch: SONG - The Red Road

Admittedly, this one is a complex song with a lot going on. Once I learned of the show on Netflix called "The Red Road" and then being introduced to the fact that this program was loosely based on my former hometown of Ringwood, New Jersey the track was born. This one has multi-layered meanings drawing on the town's yet to be remediated Superfund site, the Native American spiritual path, and the reasons we needed to leave there. We hope this track strikes a chord with you. Please BUY THE TRACK through the following links as that will help us record many more songs in the future - thanks!

LYRICS (Words and Music by Rich Lynch)

Hey, yeah, yeah, yeah

Verse:
I saw my little town
depicted on the big screen
How could there ever be
a hand so cold and mean
Out of sight
but not quite out of my mind
you buried the poison
and then you killed my kind

Chorus:
Cause they've been delivered
an unwanted and heavy load
Can we, find our way
back to The Red Road
back to The Red Road

Verse:
Do unto others
and do unto me
But you keep your bloody hands
off my progeny
Arise my love
together we chase destiny
And we rise above
what we can't face
we must flee

Chorus:
Cause, we've been delivered
an unwanted and heavy load
Can we, find our way
back to, The Red Road

Chorus:
Cause, I've been delivered
an unwanted and heavy load
Can we, find our way
back to, The Red Road
Can we?

Bridge:
It' s the path less traveled
the way forgotten
it's progress marching
all over the downtrodden
it's a trail of tears
with no exception
facing our fears
on a rouge rue of redemption

Chorus:
Cause, you've been delivered
an unwanted and heavy load
Can we, find our way
back to, The Red Road

Chorus:
Now, I've been delivered
an unwanted and heavy load
Can we, find our way
back to, The Red Road
back to, The Red Road

Can we, find our way
back to, The Red Road
find our way
back to, The Red Road
find our way
back to, The Red Road
