Rockin' Rich Lynch: SONG - You Might Hear a Heart

In 2022, I found myself thinking about my favorite songwriter and rock musician of all time TOM PETTY around the five year mark of his passing. I was also contemplating what in the hell we had just gone through for the past 36 months on Planet Earth. On the one hand, I was happy that T.P. wasn't here to experience these most confusing and contentious times. On the other hand, I wondered what his response to those events might have been. I am sure he would have a made a defiant and determined statement that would have shown us a path to overcoming these unwanted and unprecedented circumstances. This is what I imagined he might say. Please BUY THE TRACK through the following links as that will help us record many more songs in the future - thanks!

LYRICS (Words and Music by Rich Lynch)

Verse:
If you listen real hard
and keep your ear to the ground
you might hear a heart
beginning to pound

Chorus:
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart

Verse:
If you find yourself sad
and you're wondering why?
you might hear a heart
beginning to cry

Chorus:
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart

Verse:
If you live in the world
and you know what's at stake
you might hear a heart
beginning to break

Chorus:
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart

Verse:
When trust and faith is gone
and no one's got your back
You might hear a heart
go on the attack

Chorus:
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart

Verse:
Find a glimmer of hope
and take it to the street
you might hear a heart
beginning to beat

Chorus:
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart
You might hear a heart

Verse:
If you listen real hard
and keep your ear to the ground
you might hear a heart
beginning to pound
